The Official Launch of Punk Chai
Let's start the madness!
I finally decided to do it, I made a website to serve as the launch point for all my other websites. There are only three of them right now (I think...), but with the number of projects I always seem to have running, it felt like the right move.
I've spent a lot of time figuring out how to organize the hundred-and-one side quests I'm constantly working on, especially now that some of them actually generate income, which is still a weird thing to say. The idea for Punk Chai Publishing came while I was doing the math on all the different LLCs, business structures, and legal paperwork I would eventually need. I realized the simplest solution was to create one umbrella company that everything else could live under.
Choosing a name took some thought, but I eventually landed on Punk Chai. "Chai" has been a nickname of mine ever since college, and it stuck around long after I left. Adding "Punk" felt fitting given my taste in music and general approach to life.
The logo only went through three versions before I settled on the current one: an otter with a mohawk. Otters have always been my spirit animal, and they're also just ridiculously cute. I sketched the original design during a slow day at work and called it good.
I'm excited to finally have a home base for all my projects and a banner to build under. This is just the beginning.
